Apartments types and prices
Paris provides for all budgets and tastes. Apartments range in size from 9m2 upwards. Roughly 50% of all parisians live in apartments of 35m2 or less. Studio apartments are very popular. In the 10th and 11th arrondissements for example, in the heart of Paris, you could easily acquire the following:
9m2 for €75,000 (studette)
9m2 - 20m2 up to €180,000 (studio)
21m2 + from €150,000 (1 bed , 2 bed etc)
These properties will typically include:
- Small separate kitchen or corner kitchen
- Separate shower-room/bath-room with wc and hand basin
- Tall Paris-apartment window
What to expect if you want to let your apartment
The above type of properties are very easy to rent as buy-to-lets, aimed at the large local young population. The rent for these properties is most often guaranteed for 3 years by family (parents) or employers thus giving great peace of mind for your investment.
The Paris rental market is very strong. A 25m2 apartment in the 10th or 11th arrondissements will give a rent of between €600 and €1,000 per month (or €1,000/week as a short term holiday rental).
